Xness Exchange is a peer-to-peer desk for buying and selling USDT against Indian rupees. Do you hold my crypto or my money?

No. Xness is non-custodial by design. When you buy, USDT is sent straight from our treasury to the wallet address you supply — we never open a wallet in your name. When you sell, you send USDT from your own wallet and we push rupees to your bank or UPI. There is no balance sitting on the platform, so there is nothing for us to freeze, lend out or lose.

Do I need an account to trade?

Yes. An account gives every order a reference number, an audit trail and a private chat thread with the desk. Sign-up needs only your name, email and mobile number — documents are optional and only affect fees.

What is the minimum and maximum order size?

Accepted Answer

Small orders are welcome — you can start with a few thousand rupees. Upper limits depend on the rail you choose and whether you are verified: unverified accounts are capped at a lower daily ceiling, and large tickets are settled in tranches so both sides stay protected. The checkout screen always shows the live limit for the rail you selected before you commit.

How long does a full trade take?

The desk runs 24/7, including weekends. Bank rails, however, do not — IMPS and UPI can go into scheduled maintenance windows late at night, and CDM deposits depend on branch/machine availability. If a rail is down, the checkout hides it rather than letting you start an order that cannot settle.

Why do I have to upload payment proof and a UTR?

Bank credits do not carry your order number. The UTR and screenshot are what let the desk match a rupee credit to your specific order within minutes instead of waiting on a statement reconciliation. It also protects you: if a payment lands late or under the wrong name, the proof is your evidence that you paid on time.

What happens if I enter the wrong wallet address?

Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Once USDT is sent to the address you provided, nobody — not us, not the network — can pull it back. That is why the checkout validates the address format for the chain you picked, shows it back to you in full, and asks you to confirm before release. Always paste the address rather than typing it, and check the first and last six characters.

Can I pay from someone else's bank account?

No. The paying account must match the account holder on your Xness profile. Third-party payments are a classic money-laundering and fraud pattern, and banks reverse them aggressively. If a credit arrives from an unrelated account the order is held and the money is returned to source, not converted.

Question 11

I paid but haven't received my USDT. What now?

Accepted Answer

Open the order and send the UTR in the chat — the desk replies in the same thread, usually within minutes. Nine times out of ten it is a rail lag or a UTR that hasn't reflected yet. Your money is never stranded: if the credit cannot be confirmed, the full amount goes back to the account it came from.

Can I cancel a buy order after creating it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time before you pay — just leave it or tell the desk in the chat and it expires. After payment, cancellation becomes a refund: we return the rupees to the originating account minus any rail charges actually incurred. Once USDT has been released on-chain, the trade is final.

Question 13

I paid a different amount than the order. Is that a problem?

It is fixable but it slows things down. If you underpay, the desk either recalculates the USDT at the same locked rate or asks for the balance. If you overpay, the surplus is refunded to source. Rounding your transfer to a neat figure is the single most common cause of a delayed order — pay the exact amount shown.

How does selling USDT work?

Enter the amount, tell us where you want the rupees (UPI ID or bank account), pick the chain, then send the USDT to the deposit address shown. Paste the transaction ID (TXID) into the order and the desk confirms it on-chain. Once it has the required confirmations, the payout is pushed to your rail and the reference appears in the order chat.

Why is the TXID mandatory when I sell?

The TXID is the only way to tie a specific on-chain transfer to your order instantly. Deposit addresses receive traffic constantly; without the hash the desk would have to guess which transfer is yours. Pasting it turns a manual hunt into a one-second lookup — that is the difference between a 5-minute and a 45-minute payout.

When do I get my rupees?

Once your deposit hits the required confirmations, the payout goes out on the next rail cycle — typically minutes on UPI and IMPS. Bank end-of-day windows, NEFT batching and rail maintenance can add time. The payout reference is always posted in your order chat, so you can trace it with your bank.

I entered the wrong UPI ID or account number. Can it be fixed?

If the payout has not gone out yet, tell the desk in the order chat and the details are corrected on the spot. If it has already been sent, we raise a recall with the bank — success depends on the receiving bank and is never guaranteed. Payout details must also be in your own name; we do not pay out to third parties.

Does the payout account have to be in my name?

Yes, without exception. Name-matched payouts are what keep the desk compliant and what protects you from someone else redirecting your money. If the account name does not match your profile, the payout is held until it is corrected.

I sent USDT on the wrong network. Is it gone?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily, but do not send anything else. Post the TXID and the chain you actually used in the order chat immediately. If the deposit address exists on that chain and we control the key, recovery is usually possible and may carry a network-cost deduction. If it landed on a chain we do not support, recovery is generally impossible.

How is the rate set, and is it the same for everyone?

It tracks the live USDT/INR market plus the desk's operating margin. You see the exact rate before you commit and it is locked into your order — the market moving afterwards does not change what you pay.

What fees do I actually pay?

A flat platform fee of 0.1% on every transaction, plus the actual network fee for the chain you chose on buys. If you are not KYC-verified there is an additional surcharge: a flat $5 on trades under $1,000, or 1% on trades of $1,000 and above. Every one of these lines is itemised on the order breakdown before you confirm — there is no separate spread hidden inside the rate.

Why is there a non-KYC surcharge?

Unverified orders carry more risk and more manual review, and that cost has to sit somewhere. Rather than raising prices for everyone, it sits with the orders that create it. Complete verification once and the surcharge disappears permanently on every future trade.

Your rate looks different from Binance or Google. Why?

Google shows a global USD-pegged reference, not an INR P2P rate. Binance P2P shows an advertiser's ask, before their payment risk, their limits, and the time you spend chasing them. Our rate already includes settlement cost and a desk that answers instantly — compare landed cost per rupee, not headline numbers.

Is my rate locked, and for how long?

The rate is locked the moment the order is created and holds for the payment window shown on the order. Pay within that window and you get exactly the quoted figure. If the window lapses before payment, the order re-quotes at the current rate — up or down.

Who pays the blockchain network fee?

Accepted Answer

On buys, the network fee for delivering USDT to your wallet is shown as its own line and is passed through at cost — we do not mark it up. It varies by chain, which is why picking TRC20 or BEP20 over ERC20 can save you a meaningful amount on smaller tickets.

Are there any hidden charges at all?

No. What appears on the order breakdown — rate, fiat amount, network fee, platform fee, non-KYC fee where applicable — is the complete list. There is no withdrawal fee, no account fee, no inactivity fee and no charge for using the order chat or support.

Credit card is buy-only; sell payouts settle to UPI or bank transfer.

Why does the rate differ between UPI, bank, CDM and CCW?

Each rail costs us a different amount to operate and carries different reversal risk. Cash-based rails involve handling and deposit costs; instant digital rails do not. Rather than blending everything into one average, each rail is priced on its own economics, so the cheapest option is always visible.

A payment method is greyed out or missing. Why?

Accepted Answer

Rails are toggled off when the underlying network is in maintenance, when a bank is having a settlement issue, or when that rail has hit its capacity for the session. It reappears automatically once it is safe to use. Nothing is wrong with your account.

How do CDM and CCW actually work?

For CDM you deposit cash into the account shown at a cash deposit machine and upload the slip. For CCW the desk coordinates a counter transaction and confirms it in your order chat.
